Hawaii

My maternal grandparents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this month and to celebrate they wanted to go to Hawaii with their whole family. My grandpa said his favorite part of the trip was getting to meet Gemma so I'm glad we were able to go!

We were on the North Shore in Oahu staying in an incredible 8 bedroom beach house that sat right on the water. My little family had our own room with a king sized bed, private bathroom, and balcony that overlooked the water. It was amazing listening to the ocean and feeling the cool breeze through the screen door every night as we fell asleep. We flew out early Saturday morning and stayed until Friday night when we had a red eye back home. Gemma was incredible on the flights and the best baby the whole trip. I loved the time we had to create memories as a family.

A few things I want to remember from the trip: So much shave ice. Haleiwa. Shrimp. Lulumahu Falls. Lost rental car keys. Family pictures. SUP. Surfing. Snorkeling. Hawaii cousins. Sweaty crazy haired babe. Breast feeding 24/7. PCC. Pearl Harbor. Kaena Point.

Now for pictures-

On our flight to LA. She slept the whole way.

On the flight to Honolulu. She was being the cutest little gnome in her sweater Auntie Malinda bought her.

Off our balcony to the East!

Off our balcony to the West!

"She wore an itsy bitsy mint green grapefruit tie back bikini"
Uncle Lance really warmed up to Gemma on this trip! He offered to hold her for the 1st time in this picture.
Baby chicks.

Incredible tree.

Waimea Valley.

Playing with her crazy hair.

My dad with my baby on Father's Day. He hasn't had a lot of time with her (Mimi is a baby hog, haha), and it was so sweet to see him bonding with her on Father's Day while I got dessert ready. Also, are you ready for your heart to burst? I call Gemma Gigi for Gemma girl. My dad calls Gemma Gigi because she's "grandpa's gem". I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!

Another perfect day.

Sunrise from our bed.

My baby.

With her babyators.

Paparazzi got us. Kidding. Momma got us.

First time in the ocean! She liked it!

Mine and Gemma's hair took on a whole different style while in the humidity. Our stick straight hair went super wavy.

 Good morning North Shore.
Lulumahu Falls

Baby daddy.

All 3 of us. Gemma is somewhere in there.

Stunning views on our way out from the falls.

So much green.

On the canoe ride at the PCC, trying to hide from the sun. It was so hot.

Laie Temple and Gemma doing what she did half of the trip. Eating.

Dad and uncle love.

My brothers and Gemma were so done so we headed out before the end show at the PCC. The sunset compensated for it.

Claiming local status.

Gemma is cuter. I know.

Staying cool.

Rainbow state.

SUP

3 months old!

Peaceful beach morning.

Too big of a diaper and Mimi love.

The peacock was awful curious about Gemma.

Island life.

Her hair blowing in the wind, haha.

Sunset from Kaena Point.

Ocean sunsets can't be beat.

Saying bye to our private balcony.

Diamond head. "The ugliest hike" Jordan has ever been on.

The views from the top were pretty incredible though.

If they didn't have flaws I wouldn't believe they were real.

Hawaiian princess.

The US battleship Missouri.

The US Arizona memorial.

See the reflection in my shades of Gemma snoozing on Jordan's lap? Missing all the good stuff.

Pearl Harbor

Jordan, Andrew and Bennet zonked in LAX after our red eye from Honolulu waiting for our connecting flight to SLC.
